Competence
If you have concerns about the competence (or performance) of a nurse, you may wish to notify the Council of those concerns in writing.
Employers must contact the Council when dismissing a nurse from employment for competence-related reasons, and when a nurse resigns because of competence-related reasons.
When making a notification please use the Concerns about a Nurse form in the top-right of this page. If you wish to discuss your concerns further before deciding about completing the form, please call our nurse advisor on 04 381 9098.
