Available later in the year – MyNC – A new way for nurses to connect with the Nursing Council online

5  June 2019

The Nursing Council of New Zealand is excited to announce that later this year, nurses will be able to use our new improved online portal called “My Nursing Council” or MyNC which will be available on the Council’s website.

MyNC will allow nurses to:

  • view APC status

  • renew their Annual Practising Certificate (APC)

  • update their personal details eg. address changes

  • view conditions in their scope of practice

  • apply for a change of condition in their scope of practice

  • make payment for other services eg. purchasing a medal

  • check their audit history.

Work is also being done to allow nurses to apply for nurse practitioner registration and submit their documentation electronically.

The Nursing Council will contact all nurses over the coming months with detailed information prior to when a nurse is due to renew their APC, this contact will be by email.

We ask all nurses to ensure that the Nursing Council has their correct email address (preferably their personal email). To update, please email [email protected]
Please ensure the Registration number is added to all communication.

On 1 July the Nursing Council will end the use of Annual Practising Certificate (APC) plastic cards.
Searching the online register is easy and requires you to use either your registration number or your first name or surname. (The register requires one name only in the search field)

Read our frequently asked questions (FAQs) to find answers to any queries you may have about this change.
