Feedback workshops on future nurse education in Aotearoa New Zealand

In 2019 we held 12 pre-consultation workshops with nurses in education, practice and nursing students. The purpose of these workshops was to learn what was important to them about the future of nursing education. This feedback has helped to inform the Council's strategic project: Review nursing education to ensure that RN graduates are well prepared to meet the future needs of New Zealanders. This project will set new standards for nursing education in New Zealand.
We have collated the feedback and key messages which are available for you to download. We expect to undertake a formal written consultation on new education standards later this year.
